Maggie has issues.
She has separation anxiety. She has a morbid fear of thunderstorms (and firecrackers). She is afraid of travelling in cars.
No, that is not quite right. Maggie refuses to travel in cars. Period. (and you might imagine the joys of driving from NY to Seattle with Maggie, but only if you have seen every horror movie ever made).
Maggie is afraid of strangers. She is afraid of my elderly parents, who have dutifully brought treats and cookies with them every time they visit.
